The rules for using jareddesu.com, the free tools, and the paid Crossword+ membership. I’ve kept them short and plain.

The short version
- The tools and today’s crossword puzzles are free. Crossword+ is an optional paid membership.
- New members get a 7-day free trial; cancel before it ends and you aren’t charged.
- Crossword+ renews automatically until you cancel. Cancel anytime; you keep it until the end of the period you paid for.
- Refunds are covered on the refund policy page.
- Be decent, don’t break or scrape the site, and don’t resell the puzzles.
1. Free tools and puzzles
The tools, the guide and today’s crossword puzzles are free to use, with no account. They’re provided as they are. I work hard to keep them accurate and running, but I can’t promise they’re error-free or always available, and I may change or remove features over time.
2. Accounts
- An account is only needed for Crossword+. You sign in with Google or with a one-time link sent to your email; there’s no password.
- You’re responsible for keeping your email account secure, since access to it means access to your Crossword+ account.
- One account per person, please. Don’t share a membership publicly.
3. Crossword+ membership
- What you get: every past crossword puzzle, crosswords made from your own Anki deck (My deck), bonus puzzles, and your progress synced across devices. What’s included may grow or change; I won’t take away the main features above from a paid period you’re already in.
- Price and billing: the price is shown before you pay (currently US$2.99 a month or US$24.99 a year, plus any tax shown at checkout). Payments are handled by Stripe. Your membership renews automatically at the end of each period, at the then-current price, until you cancel. If the price ever changes, I’ll tell you by email at least 14 days before it applies to you.
- Free trial: if you’ve never had Crossword+ before, your first 7 days are free (one trial per person). You add a card at the start; it’s charged for your chosen plan when the trial ends unless you cancel before then. Cancelling during the trial ends it with no charge.
- Cancelling: cancel anytime from Manage subscription on the crossword page (under the Crossword+ tab), or by emailing support@jareddesu.com. You keep Crossword+ until the end of the period you’ve paid for, and you won’t be charged again.
- Failed payments: if a renewal fails, Stripe retries for a while; if it still fails, Crossword+ ends until a payment goes through.

4. Your stuff
Decks you import into My deck stay in your browser. Puzzles you make from them, and your progress, are saved to your account so they follow you between devices (see the privacy policy). You own your own deck content; you’re responsible for having the right to use whatever you import.
5. Fair use
- Don’t try to break, overload, or get around the paid parts of the site (for example by sharing accounts or scraping past puzzles).
- Don’t copy the puzzles, clues or guide in bulk, or republish or sell them. Sharing your result or a screenshot is very welcome.
- I can suspend or close an account that breaks these rules. If I close a paid account for a reason that isn’t your fault, I’ll refund the unused part.
6. Sponsors and links
Some pages show a sponsor, clearly marked as one, and link to other sites. I’m not responsible for those sites or their offers.
7. Liability
As far as the law allows, the site is provided “as is”, and I’m not liable for indirect or consequential losses. My total liability for anything to do with Crossword+ is limited to what you paid me in the 12 months before the problem. Nothing here limits rights you have under consumer law where you live.
8. Changes
I may update these terms. The date at the top shows the latest version. If a change matters for paying members, I’ll email them before it takes effect.
