Japanese Crossword.日本語クロスワード。

A new mini and a new daily puzzle every day, at three levels, plus a Mixed puzzle with Japanese clues.

  • Kana: English clues, hiragana answers, small kana written full size (ゃ→や, っ→つ) like in a Japanese newspaper.
  • Kanji: write each word in kanji, one per square, from its meaning (turn on readings in ⚙ for an easier puzzle).

  • かな：英語のカギにひらがなで答えます。新聞のクロスワードと同じく、小さいかなは大きく書きます（ゃ→や、っ→つ）。
  • 漢字：意味から、言葉を漢字で1マスずつ書きます（⚙で読みを表示するとやさしくなります）。

      • Type romaji (ka → か, kya → きや) or kana with a Japanese keyboard. On a phone, use the kana keys under the grid; ゛゜ turns か into が, は into ば or ぱ.
      • Using a Japanese IME? Type the word in hiragana and press Enter to fill the squares. Don't convert it to kanji. With the IME off, romaji fills each square as you type.
      • Small kana are full size. きゃ is written きや, がっこう is がつこう. The long-vowel mark ー gets its own square.
      • Tap a square twice (or press space) to switch between across and down. Tab moves to the next clue.
      • Double-boxed squares (二重マス) spell a bonus keyword, read in order A, B, C…. You’ll see it when you solve.
      • Settings (⚙) switch the page to Japanese, add romaji to the keys, hide Check and Reveal, keep the answer list hidden after you solve, or change how typing moves (arrow keys, spacebar, backspace, skipping filled squares).
      • Beginner uses JLPT N5–N4 words, intermediate N3–N2, advanced N1 plus slang and idioms. Mixed uses words from every level with clues in Japanese, like a newspaper crossword. Each puzzle mixes in food, pop culture and other fun words.
      • ローマ字で入力（ka → か、kya → きや）するか、日本語キーボードでかなを入力します。スマホではマスの下のかなキーを使います。゛゜で か→が、は→ば・ぱ に変わります。
      • 日本語入力（IME）を使うときは、ひらがなのままEnterで確定するとマスに入ります。漢字には変換しないでください。IMEをオフにすると、ローマ字が1マスずつ入ります。
      • 小さいかなは大きく書きます。きゃ は きや、がっこう は がつこう。長音の「ー」も1マスです。
      • 同じマスを2回タップ（またはスペース）でヨコとタテを切り替え。Tabで次のカギへ進みます。
      • 二重マスの文字をA、B、C…の順に読むと、キーワードになります。解いたときに表示されます。
      • 設定（⚙）で、英語表示への切り替え、かなキーのローマ字、チェックと答え表示の非表示、解いた後の単語リストの表示、入力の動き（矢印キー、スペース、バックスペース、入力済みマスの飛ばし）を変えられます。
      • 初級はJLPT N5–N4、中級はN3–N2、上級はN1の単語にスラングや慣用句も。一般は全レベルの単語に日本語のカギで、新聞のクロスワードのように解けます。どのパズルにも食べ物やポップカルチャーなど、楽しい言葉が入っています。
