The recordings come from native speakers who donated them to Lingua Libre on Wikimedia Commons. Every one was checked against the Kanjium accent dictionary (CC BY-SA 4.0), and only recordings whose pitch drop matched made it in. A few classic minimal pairs nobody has recorded yet play a guide tone instead: a hum that traces the pitch pattern, not a real voice.
